Whether you’ve ridden or worked with horses for years, or don’t know a halter from a bridle, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities for you.
Volunteers are the “heart and soul” of our organization. Each year, volunteers of all age devote over 3,500 hours to keep our “Dream” alive. Most would agree, they gain much more in personal rewards and lasting friendships than they ever dreamed possible.
Due to insurance requirements, all volunteers providing direct horse care must be at least 14 years old. Depending on maturity level and previous horsemanship experience, volunteers under the age of 14 may be assigned to other support duties. Volunteers are required to submit to a background check, complete a volunteer profile and liability waiver form and attend volunteer training programs.
Volunteers perform a variety of tasks including:
- Arena Preparation
- Stall Cleaning / Preparation
- Ground Maintenance (Mowing, Weeding)
- Event Planning
