Providing equine assisted therapy for those with physical, mental, or emotional challenges

Our Staff

Dream Riders employs one part-time Executive Director, however, the vast majority of Dream Riders personnel are non-paid volunteers who devote countless hours to mundane tasks such as feeding, grooming, barn and ride preparation activities.Over the years, experience has proven that a smooth and efficient program requires the services and accountability of designated personnel including a Barn Manager and Team Leaders.

These individuals have responsibilities for organizing and directing ride sessions for 12-20 children per week. They assess each child’s specific needs; develop programming that will enhance their physical/mental capabilities, sense of worth and well-bring; liaise with parents and health care providers, assign volunteers; select horses that are  suited for each rider; supervise tacking of the horse; ensure safety of the rider, volunteer and horse and evaluate outcomes of the ride when the session is complete.
